French Antique Blue Enamel Miniature Pearl Locket, Victorian Portrait Pendant with Photos, Girl with Flowers Painting, Sentimental Jewelry

An absolutely delightful mid-Victorian era blue enamel and pearl locket depicting a lovely lady with a basket of flowers. Substantial, yet graceful, this antique mid-1800's locket is set with a hand-painted miniature of peasant girl walking through the woods with her basket of flowers. The girl wears a beautiful light-pink dress with the hair tied up. Meticulous detailing of this miniature is striking - you can see the smallest leaves on a tree and girls facial expression is beautiful and somewhat dreamy.

The miniature is surrounded by a rose gold ornament frame. The body of the locket is made of of rose gold as well. The deep-blue enamel reflects the light beautifully and is very well-preserved. Notably, all original seed pearls are preserved in a very good state without replacements.

The interior of the locket is neat and clean. The rear glass in solid rose gold frame is also present without any damage which is very rare, especially considering age of this locket, which is about to celebrate it's 200th birthday soon!
