Antique Georgian Portrait Ring, Handmade 1700s Lady Painting, Solid 14k Gold Miniature Portrait, 18th Century French Antique Rococo Jewelry

A very well painted Rococo style Georgian miniature portrait of a young lady from a private collection in France. The ring is a beautiful example of sentimental 18th century jewelry. Such jewels were custom made and distributed amongst family and friends as love and sentimental tokens.

Unsigned, this amazing portrait is beautifully framed in solid 14k gold with black enamel accents, that is in very good condition. It is marked with an Owl - French gold import mark, which indicated that the ring was imported to France at a certain point and assayed.

Very delicate portrait of a young lady, upright and sweet at the same time, makes us wondering about what she was thinking while depicted.

The ring is converted from a pin (old work). The shank is marked with old French import stamp - an Owl.
