French Antique Victorian Miniature Pearl Locket, Floral Baroque Pendant with Photos, Shepherd Girl and Lamb Painting, Sentimental Jewelry

An absolutely magestic early Victorian pearl locket depicting a lovely pastoral scene. Substantial, yet very gentle and utterly feminine, this stunning locket is set with a hand-painted miniature of shepherd girl resting with her little lamb. The girl wears beautiful light clothes in the shades of pink and blue. Her shoes are sky-blue silk and lace. Unbelievable detailing and typical for Baroque painting style - diagonal composition.

The miniature is surrounded by a rose gold ornament frame. The body of the locket is made of silver with the rear door accented with rose gold. Notably, all original seed pearls are preserved in a very good state without replacements.

The interior of the locket is neat and clean. The rear glass in solid rose gold frame is also present without any damage which is very rare, especially considering age of this locket, which is about to celebrate it's 200th birthday soon!
